Serena turns around, careful not to completely dislodge Bernie's arm. Smiles at the sight of sleepy brown eyes blinking at her from beneath a wild mop of hair. Bed headed Bernie is far different from the one that plays the piano at the bar almost every night, always impeccably dressed, and looking oh so proper. So soft, Serena thinks, her fingers carefully brushing through blonde strands.
"Good morning," she whispers.
