Mary can’t fucking believe it, Stede intends to give Blackbeard—or Ed as he apparently calls him—this dead not rat as some sort of gift.

She can’t help but voice her confusion. “You’re really going to give the great pirate Blackbeard a dead rodent.” She grimaces. “That’s fantastic, Stede, why not just present him with dried shit from the bottom of your shoe.”"
