Tommy nodded. “Uh-huh,” he said quietly, “You’re really nice. Most people—” He stuffed his face into Wilbur chest and wrapped his arms tightly around Wilbur’s body. “—aren’t that nice.”
Wilbur felt like he was on the verge of tears over being hugged for the first time in his memory.

Summary
Tommy Tubbo and Ranboo have been on their own for a while. When they see how much crime happens in the town they live and decide to do something about it.
One day the unthinkable happens and it changes things for Tommy.
It leaves him with mental scars that he desperately tries to hide from his friends but eventually it all comes crashing down.
Enter the Sleepy Bois
"Vents are a no go this time around, big man,” Tubbo said, pulling out his laptop from where it was behind him.
He booted it up and clicked onto one of the programs he had developed.
“Now vents do tend to run quite a bit warmer than the rest of the building, but it's a bit different here. There’s a weird pattern that runs along the vents and weird machinery that’s in those areas.
“I have a suspicion that those are weight-sensitive plates and some sort of alarm trapping system. They get more and more frequent closer to the heart of the warehouse."

Tommy isn't exactly afraid of death.
He's not afraid of the dying part, or the pain, or the feeling of his life slipping carelessly between the brushing cracks between his fingers – disappearing from existence in correlation with cackling trickles of sand as it slowly tumbles through a shaken hourglass.
He's not exactly afraid of that. But perhaps... perhaps he still should've thought twice before jumping in to save his older brother - jumping in front of his father's driven, glistening sword without even considering the repercussions. (And the loneliness that would follow.)
