After a rather disappointing dinner date, and her boyfriend Gale having to rush off to District 12 to take care of his ailing mother, Katniss Everdeen is tired of waiting for a proposal, so when her Uncle Haymitch suggests she head to 12 herself to surprise him with a toasting, she decides to throw caution to the wind and give it a shot.
But the odds are not in her favor. Washed out train track, hurricanes, and a terrifying boat ride get her stuck at a pub in the middle of nowhere, with a bartender named Peeta who seems determined to get her to 12.
After a series of fateful interventions, they find themselves thrown together on the trip of a lifetime. In the end, Katniss must make a choice. Her thirty seconds are up, and she knows exactly what she wants to take.
