Really, Oikawa-san? You know, you could always just stay here with me for a bit!
Oikawa violently beat down the grin trying to spread across his face, and swirled the water around in his glass as if it were a fine vintage. You know, shorty-pie. I’ll think about it.
And that’s when it was agreed upon.
Oikawa Tooru slips, tumbles, and falls into the beach, and later the suddenly-very-well-muscled arms of his old high school rival. Cue emotional whiplash.Series

Summary
"It wasn't as though Kageyama needed the friends – kids who shared video games, who watched cartoons, who did this and that of no consequence – who would eat up all his time if he gave them any to start with. He had volleyball, and volleyball was more than enough." (This fic was written for the Kagehina Exchange! It is a gift for #57. You asked for fluff... I tried really hard ;_;)

Summary
Kageyama also remembers that he'd failed utterly at getting to talk to him. He'd been baffled about it at the time; what kind of setter doesn't want to talk about setting? But maybe this is the answer. Maybe Nekoma's setter - ("Kenma," Hinata chides frustratedly the third or fourth time he says it, “his name is Kenma") - maybe Kenma-san is just bad face-to-face. Kageyama can understand that, to some extent, although he doesn't quite understand why that would extend to talking to him about volleyball, but fine. He can accommodate this, if that's what it takes. He asks for Kenma's contact information immediately. Hinata copies it into his phone with a weird, sour face, muttering, "I mean it, Kageyama, you better not be a jerk to him." Kageyama has no idea what Hinata is insinuating, and he forgets the comment almost immediately.

Light closed his eyes... only to open them once more in his room at his family home. On November 29th, 2006. One day after finding the Death Note.
His insanity has cleared and he can think clearly now.
