The Knights of Ren are one of the most successful punk bands of their generation. They are on the top of the world, but Kylo struggles with his own demons, which are taking their toll on the band. Destruction seems to follow him wherever he goes, and the label just can't foot the bill any longer.
Armitage Hux is an image wizard. He can salvage the reputation of even the most reckless of celebrities. Or at least he thinks he can, until he's hired by the label to fix Kylo’s public image and get him to step in line.
Both men are stubborn and used to getting what they want. Sparks fly as they butt heads and put each other through their paces, but as Kylo's control continues to slip, could Hux's influence be exactly what he needs? And as Hux's patience frays, could he be missing something vital to understanding how Ren operates?

Snoke is gone, but his death has solved nothing between Hux and Kylo Ren. The First Order's trust in their leaders wanes as they vie for power over one another, and if they cannot learn to work together, they may both lose everything they've worked for.
Forging that alliance after years at each other's throats will not be as easy as letting the past die, however—they will face subterfuge, enemies in the shadows, treachery, and being stranded on a hostile planet with creatures out of nightmare, barely escaping constant danger with their lives while having only one another to rely on.
And that is just the beginning.

Ren had never acted like this before, not even when near an omega in heat.
In fact, Hux could distinctly remember a time when Lieutenant Mitaka’s heat had unfortunately coincided with Ren’s return from a planetside operation. Hux was safe as he always remembered to take his suppressants each month. Kylo Ren, however, did not. Mitaka had been unable to resist the strong, virile scent of an unsuppressed alpha nearby and had gotten a bit handsy. Ren hadn’t reacted well - he’d nearly strangled the lieutenant to death before Hux intervened.
He couldn’t possibly understand how easily Ren had rejected the omega’s attention. That kind of restraint was something to be envied. The suppressants always gave Hux a terrible migraine, so he wouldn’t miss them if he suddenly found himself no longer requiring them.
The carcinoula couldn’t possibly have triggered this, so what had? More importantly, why had Ren come to him in this state? He should’ve gone to the Med center first - or if he was truly desperate, to some random omega. Not Hux.
