Summary
Below, festivities were in full swing. Snatches of music and laughter drifted up every time the great doors to the Hall of Fire opened and closed. In the central plain, soft conversations and clandestine meetings could be overheard. From the fountains’ direction came the suspicious sound of splashing.
Far above it all, on one of the highest balconies in Imladris, Erestor draped himself over the railing to watch the events. “I feel ancient,” he remarked absent-mindedly and not a little wistfully.
A snort sounded behind him, and Glorfindel appeared next to him. In one hand was two empty wine glasses, and in the other a precarious bottle of wine. He offered the first hand to Erestor, who accepted with delight, and poured them both generous amounts.
Erestor fortified himself with a sip, and then protested, “Yes, I know you are the eldest being on this side of the Sundering Seas –”

“Stay,” said Shudder, words not quite a command but not quite a plea either. His voice was rough around the edges, as though he’d screamed it away. “Talk to me.”
Usually so quick to do so, now at the request Larrikin’s mind drew strangely blank. “About what?” he barely managed to get out through numb lips.
“About anything. Tell me about how you found out you had magic.”
Finally Larrikin found his voice again, and he gave a short laugh. It came out harsher than he meant it to. “It isn’t a terribly interesting story, if that’s what you want.”
“I don’t care,” said Shudder. He sat so still that Larrikin would’ve mistaken him for stone -- never mind that Shudder wasn’t an Elemental -- if it wasn’t for the faint twitching of fingers at his pulse, or silken hair, fluttering around an impassive face. “Tell it to me anyway.” -

Summary
As Hux stepped away – from the podium, his army, their salute – a warm glow lit up in his stomach. He might’ve called it pride, if the elder Hux had not insisted on training such emotions out of him at a young age.
Maybe he does deserve a little pride.
-
Later, with a spectacularly drunk and surprisingly quiet Kylo Ren curled into his side, Hux will be forced to reflect that everything might not be as straightforward.

If he focused hard, put recent not-recent events out of his mind and cast his memory back to when he new to the Watch, he could spot the differences clearly. And in these moments he longed for sleep, longed to not feel that pang of emptiness as he saw the coffins lowered, that buzz of panic roaring through his veins, what do I do, what can I possibly do now he's gone?

Summary
When planning their takeover of what remained of Jabba’s syndicate, Boba had figured that he would have to deal with politics. He’d known that and accepted that. However, he’d at least expected the politicians to have some modicum of intelligence.
Apparently, that's too much to ask for.

Summary
“I won’t have you going all the way to California by yourself,” Yanli says in her most eldest-sibling tone of voice. “I won’t have it, A-Ying.”
“I am a grown-up,” Wei Ying points out gently, with all the wisdom of his twenty-four years. “I pay bills and have a job I hate and everything. And I won’t be by myself, I’ll have A-Qing and A-Ning. And their granny.”
“And me, obviously,” Jiang Cheng grumbles. Wei Ying whips around to stare at him.
“Oh,” Yanli says, a blanket of relief rolling across her face. “Oh, of course.”
“You can’t,” Wei Ying hisses at him, looking more panicked now than he has all night. “Your mother—”
“Okay, first of all, don’t tell me what I can and can’t do,” Jiang Cheng bites back, prickly with worry for the Wens and worry for his idiot brother. “Secondly, you, going by yourself, is not an option. It’s off the table. It was never on the table. Stupid,” he adds, on principle.
Wei Ying’s friends are at rock-bottom, and Wei Ying puts his life on hold to help them put theirs back together. To absolutely no one’s surprise except Wei Ying’s, his family goes with him.

Summary
Din watches the elevator door close, and he feels his heart stutter. He has finished his quest. He has delivered the child, Grogu, to the Jedi.
The task is finished. His kid is gone. He is safe.
But standing there on the bridge of the Cruiser with his helmet in hand, it doesn’t bring him the joy he thought it would.
Someone shifts behind him, and Din is reminded that all of them can see his face. They can see that he has broken the code. This is not like it was with Mayfield. This feels different. More permanent.
He turns and meets Cara’s eyes. They stare at each other for a second- she was there when the Armorer gave him this task, and it feels fitting that she is here when the task is finished- before she smiles and bends over to sling Moff Gideon over her shoulder.
Din looks over at Bo-Katan and finds that she is already watching him.
“This solves our problem, doesn’t it?” Din tells her, and Bo-Katan frowns at him.
