This isn't exactly a series. You Can't Spell Sniper without 'Spin' is a one-shot and The Hunter of Waverly, Iowa uses Spin as the first chapter in an extended fic.

  4. Summary

This is just a linking of my two contiguous XMFC fics: All Along the Watchtower, which takes place during and immediately after the movie and Education or Why Cerebro was Built by Hippies which follows that and has its own plot. Both focus heavily on the relationship between Charles and Erik as they both struggle to live according to their personal moral codes. Also, pot and mice.

Oh sure, reunion results in happiness, kittens, and rainbows, because that's definitely how life goes when you've just spent 70 years as a tool of villainy. I mean, what could possibly go wrong?

    Summary

It is September of 1963, and the world's first school for Mutants — the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters — has just opened its doors. By the end of the school year, the Mutant Registration Act will be law; half the faculty and students will be gone; and everyone will have to choose between their ideals and the practical demands of a world spinning out of control. Welcome to the class of '64. Hope you survive the experience.

TL;DR: My personal spin on the X-Men origin story. An AU that hews quite closely to the canon, incorporating elements and remixing plotlines from Earths 616, 10005, 1610, and 811.

    Summary

Therapy's a bitch, but PTSD is worse. An in-depth character study of Bucky Barnes as he reconciles his years with Hydra in the wake of Civil War.

    ------

I don’t really know who I am. I do know that James Buchanan Barnes is dead. He’s a pile of bones at the bottom of a ravine. He’s a side bar in some other guy’s museum exhibit that might not even exist anymore. James Barnes would puke if he could see what he became. His parents and sister and friends would cry.

I don’t know what’s left over now, but I know it’s not good. And I don’t think it can ever be good.

    Summary

"[...] lesbians and gay men writing letters to their lovers and friends faced the special problem of wartime censorship. Military censors, of course, cut out all information that might aid the enemy, but this surveillance made it necessary for gay and lesbian correspondents to be careful not to expose their homosexuality. To get around this, gay men befriended sympathetic censors or tricked others by using campy phrases, signing a woman’s name (like Dixie or Daisy), or changing the gender of their friends. Sailors became WAVEs, boyfriends became WACs, Robert became Roberta. There must exist, hidden in closets and attics all over America, a huge literature of these World War II letters between lesbians and between gay men that would tell us even more about this important part of American history." - Coming Out Under Fire: The History of Gay Men and Women In World War Two, by Allan Berube
