The email came halfway through a conversation about what to do for dinner, workload permitting, though Tim insisted that as it was a Friday, workload permitted. It was from the archivist, Gertrude Robinson, and requested Jon’s immediate presence in the archive. Which, yikes.

Rumor in research was that all of the archival assistants had “died in the line of duty.” Considering that it was an archive that was incredible nerve wracking. Rumor in artefact storage was that no, Gertrude still had an assistant, and what was his name? That goth guy; tall, pale, bad dye job? Of course, that rumor was refuted by those up in accounting: no one but Gertrude was on archive payroll.

(Sometimes old statements don’t cut it. What’s an archivist supposed to do?)

Most quirks are not alive. Most quirks exist for the duration of one lifetime before dying out. Most quirks do not have memories. Most quirks do not evolve.

One for All is not most quirks.

"Statement of Beholding, the Ceaseless Watcher of all that is and all that was, dictated to its Archive on the first and last day of the new age."

Supposing there was a regular season 5 statement-type episode for the Eye...

A missing scene between 169 and 170, where Jon meets a ghost on the outskirts of the Desolation’s domain.

Or, Agnes Montague gives her thoughts on an ice cream cone she never ate, her annoyance with Christian symbolism, and what it means to have a calling.
