*UPDATES TUESDAYS, AND SOMETIMES OTHER DAYS TOO!*
- Part 2 of The Rogue Variable
Kestrel Davis, de facto leader of a small raider gang, tries to carve a foothold for her people in the Commonwealth. Preston Garvey, second-in-command of the Minutemen, has other ideas.
It's best to read this between the first two parts of "The Rogue Variable," but it's not required.
The title of this piece comes from the song “Wolves” by Aviators. I don't own it, but go give it a listen on Youtube before you read this, if you’d like! (I prefer the acoustic version, myself.) I modeled Kestrel heavily off of the song, which is fun because it's about Fallout in the first place.

PART ONE OF "THE ROGUE VARIABLE"
When 24-year old Myra Larimer wakes up 210 years in the future, she has no way of knowing exactly what fate has in store for her. As she gains allies and attempts to navigate her new reality, the threads of fate begin to wind tighter around her, binding her destiny to that of the entire Commonwealth.
(M rating is for language, that's it. Everything else is pretty appropriate or happens off-screen. Sorry!)
This story’s slightly-AU, because just reading the game content is boring. Any changes were made for specific reasons, and hopefully you’ll find them satisfactory.
- Part 1 of The Rogue Variable
This is the account of the life of Myra Larimer, Sole Survivor of Vault 111, told through the eyes of those who knew her best. It is the story of lives in tangent, of endless possibilities, of broken hearts and healing souls. Most of all, it is a celebration of love in all its many and complex forms, the strands of fate that bind people to each other, the roles we cast each other in through the course of our lives.
These are a series of shorter stories set within the same version of the Fallout universe as "The Rogue Variable."
Some stories are funny, some are tragic, some are complete adorable fluff, but each contributes in a way to the larger story. In some cases, it's an excuse to write backstory. In others, it's a way to show the same events from a new perspective.
If you have a suggestion for a side story you'd like Mnemoli to tell or a character you'd like to hear more about, feel free to ask! If she likes your idea, it might end up in this section! Who knows, you might even get a cameo out of it!
