Summary
(PARADISE APART, BOOK II) Some say the Bittercold never ended. Paradise has had enough cold winters in its history that it seems like the worst of it has already come and gone. Even if that were true, time has done a poor job at healing its scars. It had been seven years since Rusty Mountain District burned, but it would be another seventy before pokemon started to forget. Some of them would bear the burden of that darkness until the day they died. It's not enough to hope for better days. Anyone who's really listening would know that valleys of peace like this are too good to be true, and the words they never wanted to hear still ring in the air like cannon fire.
