“No,” Ed groaned, dragging his hand across his face. “I was in some small ass village up north, had just gotten my hands on this old Drachman book and I was curious so I drew out the array it described just to visualise. Then the floor went out, I fell through, but probably still holding the paper and it went off, I guess.” He gestured with his hand as to say, ‘you know how it goes’.
“Okay... several anomalies with this, brother,” Al pointed out carefully.
“I bet.” Ed steeled himself, then looked back at Al with resolution. “This will sound crazy... but I think I travelled back in time? Because suddenly you’re back in that damn armour, and I’m in Central even though I haven’t been in this cursed city for about three years and I was really hoping to avoid it for at least two more, you know, make it a nice five, and fucking hell, Al, I’m twenty-six, yet Maria just scolded me like a teenager. Though to be fair, I was a fool-hardy teen but not anymore!”
Just another time travel fic because I can’t get enough of ‘em.

“I kissed Edward,” Roy said, more quietly than he'd ever spoken to her before. Riza’s raised eyebrows asked a question all on their own.
“Edward… Hertzmann? In signal corps, on the third—”
“Elric.” The surname hung heavy between them like it had hung between so many others before them. “But thank you for trying.”
Roy isn't exactly sure how he would have expected Hohenheim to act after seeing his sons again, but this definitely wasn't it.
Ed comes back from a week-long mission, and everyone is acting wrong.
A rogue alchemist, desperate to restore the alchemy of the famous Fullmetal Alchemist, pushes Truth into playing a new game - one that has Edward Elric waking up on the floor of his house where a transmuted abomination should have been, just in time to save his younger self and brother. He might have a chance to do everything again, now, though...He would never hold anything but bitterness for the title of 'dad,' but maybe an older brother could make things better.
