    Summary

“I'm not going to hire you,” Yoongi bites out. He would find someone else to care for him— Not this man with the shiny lips and the glowing skin. Not this Taehyung who is so gentle with his patients, yet reminds Yoongi of what he’ll never have.

Taehyung furrows his brows. “Why? I answered your question.”

“Because I can’t be dependent on some quirky idiot no matter what your medical degree says,” Yoongi retorts, already rolling away. “Good luck with your job search.”

Behind him, a chair scrapes across the floor and Yoongi just knows that he isn't going to be free from this guy anytime soon.

    —————

After losing the love of his life three years ago, Taehyung vows to honor Yoonji’s memory by becoming a nurse, caring for the sick and elderly. Jaded by the tragic past, he resigns himself to a quiet life without attachment.

Yoongi was an extravagant playboy trying to live up to his father’s expectations until a car accident ripped his life apart. Now he’s confined to a wheelchair and numb to his existence.

Taehyung never expected to see Yoonji’s face again, especially reflected on his newest patient, and Yoongi never expected to regain the feeling in his cold heart.

    Summary

Kim Seokjin loves acting. That's what they'll put in his obituary, probably, right after his family details, because that's the only thing that matters about him. That, and that he's gay, and that his temper snapped one time and ruined his entire career before it had a chance to be what he knows it could have become.

His last chance to prove himself comes in the form of a reality TV show, a Bachelor-style outing that will show he still has the softness to be a romantic lead. And it's embarrassing, and messy, and full of quirky guys and their weird habits and fame-seeking and secret agendas that he doesn't have the energy to deal with. But it's just a job, and Seokjin never turns down a chance when it's offered, and the biggest comfort of playing the starring role on Destined Hearts is that Seokjin knows his own heart will never be destined for anything but the screen.

As always.... a masterpiece where you gradually, steadily fall in love with the characters and realise just how deeply you've fallen when it's much too late to even try and pinpoint the moment it had become something more than simple infatuation and fondness.

This said, *this* Yoongi is probably the softest marshmallow having to be kept in a blanket and petted and kissed and loved. It took me by surprise. This pureness of his affection. His kindness, goodness and unconditional love he is brimming with, considering how we got to meet the character. I loved it! And couldn't help thinking of it as some kind of twisted AU version of First Impressions (Pride&Prejudice) since I've stumbled upon the author because of *Casual Interference* inspired by *Emma* by Jane Austen. As usual, I love the growth the characters portray and some plot twists. Simply, can't wait to re-read it.

Disaster witch Kim Taehyung meets perfect senior Min Yoongi in the poison greenhouses of witch school. Years later, Taehyung owns a clinic that fixes hearts, Yoongi has a celebrated apothecary, and they (don't) get along.

Harry Potter-ish, but not in that universe.

    Chapter 2:

    Happiness.

It came down to that, though, didn’t it?

The ease with which others moved in this world—how Yoongi moved in this world—didn’t come as naturally to Taehyung. He was always going to be a little unorthodox, a little loud, a little weird.

Happiness was always going to amount to something different for him.

Not respectable work. Not social acceptance.

    Something else. Something more…himself.

And love—love was weird, too, wasn’t it? Hearts were weird. There was that pain again, lovely and sharp, that reminded him that Yoongi would always mean something to him. Taehyung hadn’t chosen that. He hadn’t wanted to fuck himself up, mess up the work his mom had done, not be hale and hearty for the long-term.

    Love hurt. His heart hurt.

It was fixable. It was unquantifiable. It was weird.

    He could work with weird.

“It’s late,” Yoongi said, hoarse. “You should get some sleep. You have classes tomorrow.”

Taehyung let out a slow, shuddering breath. His insides felt somehow scooped out, empty. “Yeah. Classes.”

“Taehyung-ah,” Yoongi said, very soft. “You know I love you, right?”

    Love.

Something welled up inside him like never before.

So many meanings, to that one word, and maybe—finally—Taehyung had the right one for what Yoongi felt. It didn’t have the same meaning as his. Probably never will.

Still—love was weird, but also a privilege. Whichever meaning it had.

“Yeah, I know.” Taehyung said, abruptly drained of any rage, only the vaguest, quietest sadness tugging at his chest. He did know. It just wasn’t enough. Maybe that was unfair to Yoongi, but how could he help what he felt? “I really do. "

    Summary

Omegas are a breed meant specifically for pleasure. They are purchased, traded, used as fashion accessories and sex toys. Hoseok has never met one until Yoongi, the center of boy band BTS. It's hard enough breaking through the pop world with an Omega in the band, but it's even harder when you fall in love with said Omega.

    If it even is love.

Or; the story of a world where Omegas feed off of physical touch and Hoseok doesn't know what love is.

    Aaaaaaaaahh, what do I say?
It's probably one of the most mature fictions I've stumbled upon what with how complicated, confusing and down-to-earth yet crazy and dramatic was their path to learning each other and what it really means to love and be in a relationship.

    It pulled me in with:
"One good thing about being alive is the possibility of something unexpected to happen. Most people are afraid of the unpredictability of tomorrow, but Hoseok relishes in unforeseen chances. This is why he’s in Seoul, anyway, leaving behind the comforts of Gwangju and the familiarity of its busy streets, faith resting on his feet even after being rejected. It is for the unexpected that there is hope, as predictability dulls the meaning of freedom and the fulfilment of life."

And I personally love how it all ends (and starts) in a sort of anticlimactic way. It's real, it's life. And i love the sensible message of the nature of love.

"And maybe Yoongi may never know what he did to deserve Hoseok, but Hoseok seems to be contented. One baby step at a time, he reminds himself. If there’s anything worth being patient about, it’s this. It doesn’t take two people to make a love last, Yoongi thinks, because without Seokjin and Namjoon and Jimin and Taehyung and even Jeongguk, they would never have made it past the point of their fears. Loving is a lot like building a house. It takes a lot of people to build it, just one to tear it down. It’s something fragile and vulnerable at first, but when the foundations are finally laid, no matter how many times it burns, it can get rebuilt again. The more beautiful, the more stable houses are the houses that took a lot of care, a lot of patience, to create. They’ve had a lot of help to get the foundations cemented, but, looking at Hoseok’s small smile directed at him, Yoongi feels ready to take it from there."
