Tom won. He got everything he wanted; immortality, the ministry, even Harry Potter. And yet though he knew he owned the young wizards body, Harry's heart still remained free from his greedy grasp.
Harry was throughly distracted but not enough to not notice the lingering shadow at his bedroom door. He looked up to see a flash of red eyes. Harry opened his mouth to call Tom into the bedroom and join thier family but something stopped him. Harry still wasn't over the trauma Tom had put him and his son through. So he quickly looked away and let himself be distracted by his family.
Tom eyes narrowed in anger, but he dared not cross over the threshold into a place he had not been invited to. The room was alight with Harry’s laughter, thier children shouting back and forth and the beacon in the middle was the newborn. The large family was bound together by Harry’s indomitable love. His eyes shone with so much happiness as Harry forced himself to ignore the looming threat just a few feet away from his family. And Tom did not belong in that circle of love and warmth. So he stayed in the shadows and watched with envy, wanting something he could never bring himself to ask for. Something he did not deserve.

The rhythm of the world was something Izuku Midoriya would never tire of listening to. The sweet thump, thump, thump of people dancing and the clear tune of people laughing and having fun never failed to bring a smile to his face. Well, until today anyways.
Blind. Quirkless. Useless.
The first two things were stated clearly by the doctor that sat about five feet in front of him. The third was a word that Kacchan called him everytime he failed to make the jump on whatever forest excursion they were on or when he ran into a tree because he hadn’t seen it.
The doctor had pointed to something on the wall and no matter how hard Izuku tried, he couldn’t read what it said, even from two feet away. In fact, all that was there to him was blackness, a void in which nothing could be seen. The doctor moved around him, his footsteps loud and jarring on the tile floor. He held up strange devices, flipping a switch on them that brightened the void slightly, but revealed no more of the world than he’d ever seen. No more than twenty minutes into the appointment, Izuku Midoriya was declared legally blind.
Cursed against his will, Harry made the best of his life until he found himself, again, wandering in Death's realm. When Death offers him a second chance, a chance to right the wrongs he'd been blind to for too long, he can't possibly refuse.

(00:31) Do you think she gave me the wrong number on purpose?
(00:31) Or was it a genuine mistake?
(00:32) Like maybe she writes funny and I misread it?
(00:32) Some of the numbers do look a little dodgy...
(00:33) Cause, you know, her threes could very easily be poorly formed eights? And maybe she writes her sevens like her ones?
(00:47) Oh good, you are awake!
where lance messages the wrong number and things kind of snowball from there
