And this same flower that smiles today

-- Robert Herrick, "To the Virgins: To Make Much of Time"
A series of vignettes set during World War II, in which Steve and Peggy (and Bucky) actually seize the freaking day instead of waiting.

It’s hard to love someone you fight alongside. It’s hard to love someone who is courageous and fierce and a little wild and watch them slowly get beaten to pieces, beaten down to nothing.

(Steve/Natasha/Sam/Bucky. Summer’s ending, and it’s time to start telling the truth.)
