"You can't possibly be serious." Stiles stomped up to the wall and tore down the picture hanging on its own in the darkness. He stared at it, then turned and shook it in Derek's face. "This is not okay!"
Derek took the picture from Stiles' fingers like he expected it to suddenly turn animate and attack him. He tilted his head at it. And he stared. For a long time. His pale green eyes rose and met Stiles', flat and expressionless. "I don't understand."
"Look at it!" Derek blinked back down at the picture and his brows twitched. "Derek, your stupid fucking undead uncle is creeping into my room and taking pictures of me while I'm sleeping. Don't- Don't fucking grin like that! In Derek-Speak that's like laughing your fucking ass off at me!" Stiles gritted his teeth as Derek ducked his head as if that would prevent Stiles from seeing the terribly amused slight uptick in his lips. "Fix this, or I will unload all of my knowledge of magic and wards and shit on him myself. I do not consent to being photographed while I'm sleeping!"
Except, he absolutely does.
When Alan Deaton is reported dead, the Enclave sends Derek to take care of funeral arrangements and solidify the wards of the Beacon Hills territory.
Derek doesn't expect their Alpha to be as young, handsome, and genuine as he is.

Stiles is a successful postgraduate student with a bright career ahead of him and a life that he's very happy with, with one little exception. All his work has indeed made him a dull boy and now he's twenty-six and virginal and his friends keep trying to set him up.
Derek is a homebody wolf who hates socialising and is very happy keeping himself to himself, thank you very much. That is until he gets shanghaied into doing a favour for his sister.
Throw in a case of mistaken identity and this may the start of a beautiful relationship.
What are you doing here?" Stiles asks, defeated when he sees his front door is blocked.
"Derek called me." Peter eyes Stiles carefully. "Said you were leaving."
"And what? He thought the Enforcer could stop me?"
Peter tuts. "I am not Scott McCall's Enforcer."
Stiles shoulders at him until Peter moves enough that he can unlock the door and head in, Peter following behind.
"You're not going to convince me to stay." Stiles hates the way his voice wobbles a little.
"No I'm not." Peter tips his head to the side. "I'm here to ask you to take me with you."
Or the one in which Stiles is pushed out of the Pack and Peter wants to go with him.

Derek found himself typing up an email to the 25-year-old felon. It was oddly professional.
To whom it may concern,
I stumbled across your Craigslist ad today and would like to offer you a temporary position as my boyfriend this Christmas. My name is Derek Hale (link to my employee profile below) and I am a 32-year-old accountant. I will be spending this Christmas with my family in Palo Alto, and I am chronically single. In order to avoid the awkward, “When are you going to find a nice person to settle down with?” talk, I would love it if you could accompany me to my family reunion.
He blankly stared at the screen as a little message icon popped up, letting him know that his message had been sent. Then he panicked and texted Erica.
>Please tell me that I didn’t just do what I think I just did.
