Jeon Jeongguk, a freshman in college, is a good kid. He goes to parties, but doesn't get drunk, and even though he procrastinates literally all the time, he still gets his stuff done. One night at a party, he decides he needs to blow off steam.
Enter Kim Namjoon, AKA the Resident Fuckboi. Jeongguk has seen him around; he's friends with a couple of the guys that are dating his best friends. He's never really approached the man though- knows what he does, that's he's overall bad news. But college life has been super stressful lately, and just the way Kim looks at him makes him feel like he can take all that stress away.
When Jeongguk gets more than he bargained for feelings wise, however, will Namjoon stick around?
Or is love just a waste of time?
“This is Jeongguk, my dad-friend.”
“Dad-friend?” Namjoon repeats from Jeongguk’s right.
“Friend who is also a dad,” Jeongguk says quietly.
Namjoon’s eyes widen, but Jimin didn’t hear Jeongguk’s response, so he says much more loudly, “Single dad solidarity club! That’s what we call ourselves.”
Is that embarrassing? That’s embarrassing, right?
(Jeongguk is a single dad, and Namjoon is the prettiest person he's ever met.)
“You're like the sun Namjoon! Always so kind and warm"
But all that shines needs energy and the sun is no exception. It burns itself in the empty darkness of space to give light to the distant world.
Namjoon is like the sun and nobody can ever know how much that hurts.
So one night he just starts driving. Where to he doesn't know.
But soon he finds himself on the road with three strangers, one of them a photographer with big eyes that appear to see right through him.
So what's there, where the light of the sun doesn't shine?
THE BUSAN BUTCHER STRIKES AGAIN
“You moved from Busan just in time, Jungkookie,” Hobi assures, gaze drifting over to the youngest. “Since that serial killer guy is on the loose there.”
“Serial killer? My mom hasn't mentioned anything about that.” Jimin swishes around the soju in his glass.
“Yeah, five bodies in the last year. All of them decapitated. They gave him a catchy English name… The uh, Busan Badguy? The Busan…”
“The Busan Butcher” comes Jungkook’s steely correction, his long fingers gripping the liquor bottle in his hands exceptionally tight.
Jimin can't help but remember the night he saw those fingers coated in blood. His gaze wanders up to Jungkook’s face and the younger stares right back, eyes like tar.
Jimin is playing with a fire he doesn't know how to put out.
Struggling idol hopeful Park Jimin finds himself being blackmailed by a fellow trainee. Just when life can't get anymore hellish, two new faces from Busan threaten his sanity. One, a new vocal teacher with a deep voice and a silver tongue, and the other, a sweet-faced teen with a gaze so dark it's almost…. murderous.
