the remnants are set aflame, charging ahead, the sound of the horn echoes throughout the dancing shadows, remaining as misted fogs in the corners of their eyes. their movements are locked away, their knees buckled on the platform they are left abandoned on. the train has duly departed, scheduled to disregard calls for delay, shrouded tightly, and the crumbled lever for the tracks has yet to be reconstructed.
