Ranboo watches as he’s coaxed forward by his friend, “come on, big man, say a few words.”
Ranboo is loyal. Ranboo is trusting. Ranboo is kind to everyone. So why does everyone always betray him?

When the phone first rang, Hajime had been at work. When he saw it was from his mother, he didn't answer.
The second time was during his lunch period. He had been doing paperwork, so once again, he didn't answer.
That night, it rang four times in the span of half an hour. He finally picked up after the fifth.
"Hajime, you finally picked up!" His mother's voice was exactly how he remembered it, soft and feminine.
He sighed, "Yeah, well I was a bit hesitant after… everything, really." He heard a shuffling from the other side.
Hajime receives an upsetting phonecall. Nagito is there to help.

There were only two explanations for the sudden disappearance of both his jumpsuit and his laundry basket. The first being that someone had stolen his clothes and thrown them overboard. The second being that Mahiru was doing laundry, and after thinking about it, he came to the conclusion that he'd rather have to borrow clothes from someone else, than wrestle his clothes from the most aggressive mom friend he's ever met.
