Summary
Eddie runs into Taylor Kelly in a bar and learns a surprising new fact about his best friend.
She flips, catches and says with studied casualness, "So, Eddie. Did Buck ever tell you he was in love with you?"
"No, he- What? What are you talking about?"
"Not your turn."
"Taylor."
Taylor puts the beer mats down on the bar, lining them up perfectly. She looks back up at Eddie. "You really didn't know, huh?"

Summary
“Hey, dad?” Christopher asked, his voice breaking the comfortable silence in the truck.
“Yeah, buddy?” Eddie answered, looking at him in the mirror.
“Some of my classmates were making friendship bracelets at school today, but when my friends and I asked if we could join they said no and that it wasn’t for boys. Is— is that true?”
“No, that’s not true,” Eddie said firmly, glancing behind him quickly so he could look Chris in the eye. “If you want to make friendship bracelets for your friends, I think that’s a great idea.”
“Okay!” Christopher exclaimed, his excitement clear. “Can we go to the store now and get the supplies?”
Or, the one where Eddie makes the team friendship bracelets.

Summary
"Who wouldn’t want to go on a date with this pretty face?” Buck says, tapping a hand on Eddie’s cheek.
It should be comical—satirical, maybe—two single best friends playing up the romance so they wouldn’t be the odd ones out in a romantic setting. But Buck’s voice is a shade too sincere, the hand on Eddie’s face too gentle, the look in their eyes too soft. And, okay, Chimney would like the spit bucket now, please. He could gag at the sweetness.
“What, you’re only on a date with me for my pretty face?” Eddie asks, and Jesus, they’re still staring into each other’s eyes.
Or: The group goes to a Wine & Cheese Night and tries to figure out if Buck and Eddie know they're dating.
