Summary
Se necesitó un escuadrón de sicarios en el enésimo atentado contra su vida orquestado por su hermano, para que Lena descubriera la verdadera naturaleza de su mejor amiga, Kara Danvers. Summary
La historia se desarrolla como un capítulo alternativo en la 4 temporada, después del cap 7 en el que Supergirl es engañada por Manchester llevándola al faro de Shelly Island donde James casi la mata sin saberlo por presión de los hijos de la libertad, y antes del cap 8 donde Nia, con ayuda de Brainy y Kara usa por primera vez sus poderes ayudando en la captura de Manchester y Ben Lockwood.
En ese contexto, Kara y Lena quedan atrapadas una vez más en una situación de vida o muerte, solo que esta vez no están en la seguridad de L Corp y sus pasillos secretos para resguardarse. ¿Qué hará Kara al ver que su mejor amiga está en riesgo de muerte pero sabe que al salvarla pone en riesgo su identidad secreta?

Summary
The woman stops her pacing, setting her pale and unevenly-coloured eyes on Kara, and in that moment Kara understands - for the very first time - how Helen of Troy’s face could have been beautiful enough to start a war.
“Enough. I’m tired of being passed from one person to the next. Tell me,” the woman says fiercely after Kara has been quiet for too long. “Who are you?”
“I’m, um,” Kara says, wiggling her feet until they’re buried in the sand up to the ankle. “I’m Kara.”
The woman stares at Kara, incredulous and silent. It stretches out between them, those lingering questions and Kara’s unwillingness to answer them, until finally her shoulders sink and she deflates with a small, disbelieving laugh. “Right. Well, I’m Lena,” she says, finally seeming to realize her dress is torn and pulling it tighter, "and if you don’t mean me harm, then I suppose you just saved me.”

Kara’s pod crashes in 6th century Greece, her cousin nowhere to be found, and she grows up eager to emulate the heroes whose myths comforted her in the wake of Krypton’s destruction. But when she accidentally reveals her powers and the world views her as a demigod, Kara begins to understand just how dangerous that can be.

She had been trying to fit in. Walk like a human. Eat reasonable portion in front of people. Lowering her IQ to be like human. Don’t get her wrong. She didn’t see human as inferiors, she was just tired of not being able to do Calculus by heart from time to time. And the last but not least, hiding her powers at all costs. Even the cost being losing her very essence.
Her alienage. Not just from another country but from a totally different planet. Hell, a totally different galaxy. For one who had been to 12 planets and spoke dozens of languages fluently without a hint of accent, hiding it at all hurt. It was an insult. But to protect herself and her family on earth, she would do it in a heartbeat.

Kara is still Kryptonian but Lena is an actor. They meet and fall in love but life is never as easy as it seems.
