Stiles hadn’t been in Beacon Hills in five years, hadn’t seen Derek in nearly as long, when he got the text:

    New number: (+530) 365-2421

    or

An abundance of overeating and geekery, dangerous caffeine/sugar cereal addictions, surprise werewolves, bird insults, purple-eyed shrimp, reincarnated serial killers (it's cool, he has a leash), poorly played professional baseball, and a love story. In that order.

Stiles grows up and gets educated, Derek gets help, they get together and IT IS WONDERFUL! Stiles, of course, has this amazing website.

They stare at each other, half-grinning, and Derek knows it’s definitely the absolute wrong time for this, but he wants. He wants to grin at Stiles over dinner every day for the rest of his life, baffled over yams and Moon Pie Day, and, god, crap, goddamn, when the fuck did he have time to fall in love?

Just the idea of Derek taking in supernatural kids is so wholesome and beautiful! Who else is perfect to understand the trauma? I love that he is not always able to handle everything and is just trying his best. It makes him seems more real to life. The relationship between Derek and each of the kids is wonderful, even when the kids are being regular bratty teenagers.

    Summary

When a group of sinister men attempt to kidnap Stiles Stilinski from the Brooklyn apartment he shares with his stepsister, Lydia, Stiles is forced to activate a spell that translocates him to where he'll be safest.
Derek Hale isn't sure what to do about the soaking wet young man he finds wandering down a Beacon County roadside during the middle of a thunderstorm, but he feels compelled to help him. There's something about Stiles that Derek finds fascinating, and before long the two become embroiled in each other's lives.
Despite the threat to his life and the sudden upheaval of everything he's ever known, Stiles is having a hard time feeling too upset about that.

This was fascinatingly wonderful! I love the mythology woven throughout the reveal at the end of what Stiles was, Lydia and Stiles being siblings was a neat twist. The way Stile's magic responded to Derek and how they were mates was not something that I had read before. There was so much going on, it was like an epic rather than a frantic. I loved it!

I really liked how the different works within the series were tied together and the way they were linked was very clever! This was, to me, a new take on the whole demon lore mythology while still keeping to the main themes of Teen Wolf.

    Summary

Working at the Continental SF sucks.

Well, fine, it doesn’t actually suck. Stiles gets to live rent-free in a glamorous hotel with every possible legal luxury plus a ton of illegal ones, high-rolling it as only somebody deeply embedded in the shadowy, secretive, dangerous world of assassins and hitmen can be. He’s not going to pretend it isn’t cool as fuck, because it is. Cool.

It’s also full of a lot of late nights where he has to assess stains of dubious to regretfully certain origins and make a call about whether it’s even worth trying to steam-clean that or whether they’re just going to have to strip the carpet and redo the whole room. Sure, yeah, mercs prepay. They’re obliging like that, and he never has to worry about cashflow issues. But they’re still just—just messy.

Note: No John Wick characters show up, although some are mentioned. I'm just using the setting.

Never having seen the John Wick movies, I came at this totally blind. But since it was written by Guede, I knew that I had to give it a chance. And, boy, am I glad that I did! I love their take on John/Chris as well as Stiles/Peter/Derek. I am excited to see the rest of this!
