POST-CIVIL WAR: They have to get out of Siberia. They have to get to a safehouse. They have to figure out what comes next -- how to live in the world; how to stay out of sight.

If Bucky can only get a grip on himself and the way his mind keeps throwing out memories.

They'd been caught in a rainstorm and retreated to Bucky's in wheezing elation. They'd pulled their clothes off themselves with their backs turned, shivering and pained as fabric clung steadfast, pinpricking to their skin.

Bucky had leant him some clothes, and Steve had drowned in them. The fabric had bunched at his ankles and shoulders, pants threatening to fall clean off him. Bucky had laughed and laughed and Steve had shouted at him to leave him alone, leaving Bucky only to laugh harder.

Steve's taller than him now. Bucky's not sure he'll ever be used to that.

    Summary

When a mission against Hydra goes south and Steve is found unconscious, 120 lbs. and barely five feet tall, Bucky's pretty sure he's gonna lose his mind.

It somehow only gets worse when Steve wakes up and is the exact furious spitfire Bucky remembers, taken right out of 1936.

It's not just Steve stressing him out. It's tiptoeing around the Hydra connections among them out of fear that Steve will reject him. It's the way Natasha alternates between flirting with Steve and patronizing him, and the way Bucky feels himself doing the same. It's the tech hacks, the Hydra infiltrations, the way all this feels fucking hopeless without Steve around to remind them to take it one day at a time. It's dodging all the questions about Bucky's goddamned arm.

He's just fucking tired of being haunted by his past. For all Steve is intolerably familiar to him, he's also innocent enough to remind Bucky of everything they've lost.

    Summary

Until a few months ago, Clint Barton was a successful stunt guy, more accustomed to falling off buildings and making a fight look good than worrying about lines and motivation. Now, he's an award nominated actor (it was a fluke, he swears) about to take the biggest role of his career: co-lead in the eleventh Agent Banks of SHIELD movie, working with the actor he's admired (or maybe more than just admired) for years. It should be the best job ever.

Except for a few problems, like his lack of acting experience, and the part where his contract is to take over the SHIELD series after Phil Coulson finishes this last movie. At least he isn't doing anything really disastrous, like falling for his co-star. Right?

    Summary

Bucky Barnes suffered from depression before he joined the army, and when he came back, he suffered tenfold. Steve Rogers painted his nightmares and didn't talk about how he lost his leg. Natasha believed it was possible -- just maybe -- that broken people could help heal one another.
