a home is not a where but a who, and a family can grow around you without you realizing it.
essentially soft, domestic nonsense with our favorite superhero throuple (quadrouple?)

His day starts in much the same way as it has been starting for the past week: a blistering hangover, two painkillers washed down by the metallic-tasting water common to all starships, and a methodical pressing and starching of his uniform.
“I am General Hux of the First Order,” he tells his red-eyed reflection sternly, “and I will not be intimidated by some overgrown man-brat with greasy hair.”
His reflection does not have the same confidence his voice has, but he fastens the greatcoat and leaves his quarters anyways.
The First Order is crumbling around them and General Armitage Hux is determined to make the best of a terrible situation. A black-draped loose cannon of a man, however, is determined to make a bad situation worse.
Hurley knows Sloane can be single-minded sometimes. She has seen her at her best (laughing, eyes bright through the feathered mask, teeth shining in a glorious smile and hand tightly gripping hers) and at her worst (greasy, unwashed hair sticking up from frustrated fingers running through it, sheets of engine schematics scribbled out, dark circles and tired hands), but this is nothing like she had ever seen before.
She hasn’t come to their bed in weeks.

“What are you doing here?” Aizawa asks, very softly.
“I just. . . I don’t know.” He squinches his eyes shut harder, still feeling the deadweight of him in his arms. “I guess I wanted some quiet too.”
There is silence for a long, long moment. Stupidly, he is afraid to open his eyes.
Then, a rustling of clothing and the feeling of a warm shoulder pressed up against his. He waits, heart beating foolishly, irrationally, in his throat, until he hears soft, regular breathing beside him. He opens his eyes.
The relaxed, warm weight of Aizawa just barely leaning on his shoulder as he sleeps is far more welcome than the memories clouding his head.
Yagi closes his eyes again and allows himself to sleep.
Yagi Toshinori is a bigger romantic than he anticipated.
Class 1-A enjoys meddling far too much for their own good.
Aizawa Shouta is having Emotions.
“Give me true love,” the maiden demanded, and internally, the witch groaned. True love. Again. This had to have been the third time this month at least. That’s all anyone wanted these days. True love. Why couldn’t they ask for something easy, like a hex on an enemy or a charm for wealth? Damned if she knew.
For generations, the church and the Bishop's Men have maintained order in the far-flung colony of the New Covenant. A brutal six-year war between the church and a heretical movement led by a man named John Metzger has left James Finnbar looking for a place to rebuild his life, somewhere he won't be found.
What he finds is Carlston, a frontier mining town owned by the unmarried, cross-dressing Ada Carl, a woman who isn't above a good old fashioned barter: work for me, and I won't collect the price on your head.
As an uneasy friendship grows between the two, founded on the shared circumstance of being queer in a society that would deny they even exist, neither Ada or James is without their demons, and though the town rests on the edge of civilization, it is only a matter of time before their pasts catch up to them, and consume the fragile balance struck in the temporary haven of Carlston.
