Stiles wasn't meant to be the last one standing. But here he is, the last of his pack, the last of his family, stranded in another universe where the Hale fire never happened and his alternate world self is nine years old.
There is no impending supernatural doom to guard against but there are plenty of mundane, human dangers lurking in Beacon Hills. Stiles has the power to do something about them. Muggers and drug dealers aren't werewolves or kanimas but they're still deadly and he has years of war lurking under his skin just itching for a cause to champion. And given that he technically doesn't exist he has the time, means, and opportunity to make this one town safer for the people living in it. Like his dad. Like his other self. Like the child versions of everyone he's lost.
But Stiles isn't a superhero. He's not even superhuman and the magic he knows isn't enough to keep him hidden in the shadows forever. Especially with Deputy John Stilinski working to unmask Beacon Hill's protector.
- Part 1 of Home Across the Universe

People always looked at the Sheriff in a town like Beacon Hills and assumed it was just like Mayberry. Now, to give them credit, it was a view heavily sold by the Sheriff and his deputies. He made sure to run his whole staff through numerous trainings and courses on how to talk to people. It was just good sense. However, what people always seemed to forget was that Andy Griffith was pretty smart for a small town Sheriff.
Short drabbles all in a connected universe of people (and werewolves) underestimating the Sheriff and their attempted ways to intimidate him.
It has been five and a half years since Peter Hale woke up as an Alpha with a pack of pre-teen, newly bitten wolves, a spark, and a banshee. Derek Hale hears rumors of a Hale Alpha in Beacon Hills. Stiles struggles with his powers and their origin. Scott is falling for the daughter of an infamous hunter family.

Peter feels the edges of panic crawling under his skin as his own blue eyes begin to change and flicker. He shoves the corpse away, pushing back to lean against a tree. The rain is pounding harder, already washing away the blood. He struggles to catch his breath as he feels the bonds inside snapping and changing. He barks out a laugh that sounds like a sob. But feels like freedom.
