Shen Qingqiu didn’t flinch; he just went very still.

The hand under his fingers was so cold and stiff it could’ve belonged to a marble statue.
Liu Qingge suddenly felt utterly ridiculous, trying to see a ghost in a living man.
“Forgive me,” he mumbled, dropping Shen Qingqiu’s cold hand, and left as fast as his dignity allowed.
