    Summary

Tyrion knew, as he gazed up at the dark skinned Martell man that this was perhaps his only chance to spirit Sansa out of King's Landing and away from his father's greedy fingers. Tywin Lannister would have married the girl himself if he felt he could have gotten away with it, and so Tyrion knew his own marriage was no protection to Ned Stark's daughter whatsoever.

"Invite her, demand her, steal her--whatever you choose, Prince Oberyn, choose it soon. Else my lady wife shall break into more pieces than the stars."

For Fear Tonight Is All (Silberias) is an epic tale and the reason that I ship Sansa/Oberyn/Ellaria. Its a wonderful divergent where Sansa is rescued by the dashing Oberyn and married into safety. This ripple of change has Oberyn surviving his fight with the Mountain That Rides and returning home to Dorne. I like how Silberias has Sansa get to know both Ellaria and Oberyn on the travel to Sunspear and that she is able to grow into affection and love. Its a delight to see how Silberias keeps everyone's internal voice constant with who knows what information or how they understand situations while spinning a tale of drama and politics around the main characters.

I do admit I hope that eventually Sansa goes North with her children to be Queen of the North. After all - there must always be a Stark in Winterfell.

Ghost (cywscross) is one of my absolute favorite Naruto stories. It isn't told like the usual time-travel story, where the point-of-view is that of the traveler, but instead told from the view of the 'younger' self. Here Naruto meets Yuurei, the titled 'ghost' who has been watching out for him and Konoha, and concludes that the man is a relative (all the while wonderfully subtle hints are dropped that Yuurei is actually an older Naruto). They develop naturally into a mentor-student relationship with the warm tones of connecting family. Due to this relationship the author develops a more competent Naruto while showing off just how BAMF!Yuurei became on his own.

The doorbell interrupts what had turned out to be quite the epic shoe hunt but, really, he’s grateful for the break. Or at least, he is until he heads down the stairs to grab the door, trips over a stuff animal of some kind, bashes his head on the wall and barely manages to catch himself from falling down the entire flight of stairs. As with all things, Stiles would like to state, for the record, that this is Scott’s fault.

Or: Scott and Stiles are raising seven children. Derek is the entertainer they hire for a birthday party (not a clown though, he's very specific on that fact.)

It's Insanity, but... (rosepetals42) is a story I started reading on tumblr before finding my way here for the later chapters. I love it because I can totally see it as something Stiles and Scott would do with fostering/adopting a gaggle of kids because it was the only option for them. I like how Stiles and Scott's epic friendship is so deep that they have no problem being these platonic life-partners raising a family together but are still open to more kids and love. Love for Stiles comes in the form of Derek who enjoys performing at kid's birthday parties and getting to see how Stiles juggles parenthood with dating. I really love the kids too -- I just want to hug them all.

“Derek,” Stiles thunders. “Were you ever going to tell me your house is trying to hook us up?”

Derek's head snaps up, eyes wide and scenting the evident crackle of magic in the air.

Or the one where spark!Stiles moves into an enchanted apartment block owned by a grumpy alpha and is completely oblivious to the building's efforts to matchmake them.

When sparks fly (LunaCanisLupus_22) is a great story that removes the cast from Beacon Hills but manages to keep their characters pretty spot on - not to mention keep everyone alive. Here the Hale Pack lives in Brooklyn, New York where Stiles has recently moved due to landing his dream job. While out apartment hunting he finds a listing in the Brownstone the Pack lives in and the big twist is the house is so old and full of magic that it is sentient. I love the idea of a magic house basically renting out one of its rooms and welcoming in Stiles without much say-so from anyone else. I do wish the author had talked more about the pack background (like why Derek is the alpha instead of Laura and how they all found each other to be a pack) and more on the mechanics of magic (I would love to hear more about the difference classifications of magic users and even more on the Gathering of Mages where Stiles works). Still even without that the story is wonderfully layered and well put together with the right touches of sweetness, humor and angst.

Those Are The Days That Bind Us (s_a_m) is a fantastic read and I can't wait for more in the verse. Its probably the first story that I really like that has Stiles leaving Beacon Hills for reasons and actually detailing what he was doing while away. I loved that he was on a journey to get himself together, to heal himself, and just find himself before being able to even consider anything else to do with Beacon Hills. I love, love, love that Stiles and the pack really have to take time to make amends with each other and have it heal in stages instead of easy gloss of forgiveness or festering resentment. The magic talked about and described it pretty amazing too and very interesting to me along with enjoying the original characters.
