Summary
Back in the 21st Century, Darcy Lewis tries to understand who she is and where she belongs.
With Jane and Erik occupied, Bucky dead and Peggy suffering from Alzheimer's, Darcy understands how truly alone she and Steve are after a 70 year time jump to the future. The two build a bond and try to come to terms with Darcy's involvement in his past while both overcoming the loss of their companions.
Merging Thor 2, Captain America 2 and a little bit of Iron Man 3 together.

When shit hit the fan, she was apprehended by “Coulson & Team” to assist with the takedown of the power hungry asgardian, under Natasha's watch during the Battle of New York.Helping out Thor, fine. Helping stabilize the flying shield base via computer, that’s fine too. Getting pedestrians out of the way of the angry aliens, also fine.
Stabbing the magical glowing square with an insane man’s mystical staff to close a portal to the city and stop invading Aliens from overtaking New York?
No.
That was not something Darcy wanted to be a part of.
Time Travel? Even less so.
Waking up in 1942, she realizes that she needs to find Howard Stark and get back home, single handedly shaping the future and meeting some important people along the way.
Important people like James Buchanan Barnes.
Slow burn Bucky/Darcy fic. Key changes to Canon MCU to work around a Time Travelling Darcy.

Summary
Wakanda has been compromised.
Steve Rogers, no longer Captain America and now an internationally wanted criminal, manages with the help of King T'Challa to remove James Buchanan Barnes before things go completely south.
Rogers leaves him with the only person he realistically can. Darcy Lewis.
Barnes, awakened prematurely from cryo-sleep and still missing one arm as well as his sense of humour, is not impressed.
