Summary

A year and a half after the events of the lair, Raoul and Christine are thriving. Christine is a star. Raoul is running the opera house. They're in love. And slowly, Paris is forgetting the scandal and the opera ghost, even if Raoul and Christine can never forget the man behind the specter. But just as Charles Garnier himself is set to attend the premiere of Faust, notes start appearing again.

Summary
Christine Daaé never left Perros, and at age twenty seven, her unmarried status makes her an object of curiosity and scorn among the village. She refuses to give up her independence, dividing her time between teaching music lessons and looking in on her closest friend, the deformed caretaker of the villa where she used to play with Raoul.
Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny never forgot Christine Daaé, as hard as he tried. A widower after his wife died in childbirth, he refuses to enter another relationship, believing himself to be cursed. Stifled by the gossip of Parisian high society, he decides to take his five year old daughter and move to his aunt’s old house in Perros, the last place he was truly happy.
When the two childhood friends meet again after twelve years, their self-imposed pledges to remain alone forever wavers. They both know they can never be anything more than friends, but it’s agony to try to stay apart.
