“You know,” Tony replied, “I heard that Manhattan has neighborhoods, too. I know Hell’s Kitchen is taken but maybe you throw your hat in for Greenwich Village?”
Peter shook his head.
Peter huffed a breath and snapped, “Spider-Man’s from Queens!”
Tony raised his eyebrows in surprise at his harsh tone and straightened. “Something I said?”
When Peter's adoption by Tony is granted one year after May's tragic death, Peter quickly realizes that becoming the official heir to Stark Industries might mean having to give up on his roots for good.
Finding solace in going out again as Spider-Man, Peter's close-knit relationship with Tony is soon challenged when he encounters not just alien weapon dealers, but also what appears to be a vicious serial killer terrorizing the city. When Peter discovers just who the killer’s victims are, he is determined to track them down, going against Tony's wish to keep Spider-Man a low-level neighborhood vigilante ... and unknowingly risks becoming a victim himself.

”Don’t come any closer,” Spider-Man said, his hand raised threateningly, his fingers resting against a trigger mechanism nestled into his palm.
”Alright,” Tony answered. For a moment, they looked at each other – Tony stuck to the wall on one side of the alley and Spider-Man stuck to the other – then Tony opened his helmet to show his face. ”Hey, there”, he said. ”Nice to finally meet you.”
The Avengers are left shaken in the aftermath of the Sokovia Accords. With half the team under house arrest at the Compound, Tony finds himself seeking refuge in Avengers Tower and starts forming a tentative friendship with the neighborhood vigilante Spider-Man. A friendship which is quickly threatened by Secretary Ross doubting Spider-Man’s intentions and integrity.
Tony is left wondering who to trust, especially when Spider-Man manages to uncover the one secret Tony never wanted anyone to know about: the child Tony had with a woman named Mary Fitzpatrick sixteen years ago.

Ned didn’t want Peter to feel guilty, as much as he sometimes wished that things would go back to how they used to be. Back to when he didn’t have to cross half the city to see his best friend, back to when they could be out in the open without Peter constantly on alert, without people harassing him. He wondered whether it would ever die down, whether there would ever be a point in time when people would stop caring.
He hoped for Peter’s sake it would come soon.
As Peter struggles with the negative side effects of becoming Tony Stark’s son, Tony still aims to be a better father than Howard ever was to him, all the while trying to reign in his fear of losing Peter to the system. Meanwhile, the new mayor decides to make New York the first US city to implement the Registration Act for enhanced humans and work closely with neighborhood vigilantes while he’s at it.
