  1. Summary

These ficlets were written with the intention of being read while listening to the song it was based off of. Essentially, these are the songs I imagined would be playing in the background of the scenes in the fic.

You don't have to listen, but there is a link included and I would strongly recommend, as it can help set the mood and give emotion.

    Summary

Derek lets his eyes drift down, slowly but only for a moment. He tells himself that it's to get a proper look of him and hopefully place why this guy looks so familiar, but he can't fool himself. It's partially a lie.

The man is obviously in shape, strong build underneath the well fitting button up he's wearing. There's a badge hanging from a chain around his neck and–

    Oh. Oh no.

“Derek Hale?” the man asks, breaking the silence.

“Yeah,” Derek answers, slowly and cautiously.

“Special agent Stiles Stilinski with the FBI,” the man, whose name is apparently Stiles, says and lifts his badge briefly. “You got a minute?”

OR; For the past twelve years, Derek Hale has lived in constant fear and without a sliver of hope, drowning in guilt and grief that he hasn't been allowed to properly deal with. Then one day, an old friend shows up on his doorstep with news that only adds to the pain. But things, as they say, get worse before they get better.

    Summary

Napoleon was used to seeing all sorts in his shop: harried office types who knocked back their espressos before grabbing a long black to go, bored housewife types who took their lattes heavy on the syrups and low on the fat, tourists who ordered their coffees topped with whipped cream as they embraced a certain vacation-based joie de vie, college kids simply looking for a cheap caffeine fix while they took advantage of his free Wi-Fi.

Six foot five, blond and leanly muscled, on the other hand, at seven in the morning and with the most delicious jawline Napoleon had seen in days, was certainly a first.

Or: The modern day coffee shop AU in which Napoleon makes Illya all kinds of coffee except for Illya's actual order, and things aren't all quite what they seem to be.

    Summary

The plague had come out of the cold north. That part, everyone could agree on. Whether it was still active in the snow, or whether it had run its course was still a matter of academic debate, one that Napoleon had little interest in, up until he’d decided on this madcap scheme. He watched his breaths turn into steam in the chill for a moment longer, then he stepped through an unmarked door in a brick wall, heading down a narrow spiral stairway.

    Summary

It was two o’clock in the morning and Napoleon Solo was nursing a glass of exorbitantly expensive scotch when he came to the unfortunate conclusion that he was in love with a volatile Russian giant who had a penchant for smashing furniture.

This was obviously a problem and one that would need to be remedied immediately.
