Months after what was dubbed as the 'Civil War', Tony Stark has built not only himself but the Avengers back up to a place he's finally comfortable with. When Peter has a run in with some cultists trying to abduct a teenage girl, he finds himself not only protecting her but meeting with a former neurosurgeon turned sorcerer supreme. Although he's drawn to the snarky sorcerer, he's got his hands full with the Avengers and now three children who survived the cult. Thankfully Stephen Strange isn't going anywhere.

After arriving home from patrol to find his roommate unresponsive and seizing on their dorm room floor, Peter thought his night couldn’t get any worse. But when the cops show up later with questions, he finds himself the subject of a police investigation that threatens not only to expose Spider-Man, but also risks implicating Mr. Stark and Dr. Banner in a felony.
(Or, Peter’s college roommate accidentally overdoses on his super-strength painkillers and Peter is all kinds of screwed)

But the fact is, he does have Morgan, now. And a house outside the city with plenty of room for a pet. And he’s officially retired himself from this whole Finding The Infinity Stones game. For his own good. For Morgan. For Pepper.
It’s because of this, he supposes, that Captain Carol Danvers comes to his front door from god-knows-where one day with a cat carrier, a litter box, a scratching post, and a case of canned cat food precariously stacked in her arms.
“I need a favor, Tony,” Danvers says, like they’re old pals, like she’s one of the original Avengers, and not like she just dropped out of the galaxy one day at Fury’s beck and call and decided to stay for a while.
Carol asks Tony and his family to take care of Goose while she's off planet. Morgan gets attached. Tony's inexperience with cats makes him unaware that not all cats are like Goose.
