And Stiles? Stiles thought he'd gotten so used to werewolves that the pray instinct was nonexistent now.
It's not.
His vision dims until all he can see is the alpha. Every muscle in his body is taunt, ready to run for his life. His mind goes deathly quiet, so focused on the wolf before him that there isn't a single thought passing.
They stare at each other for a long time, before the wolf grins, slow and dangerous.
"Maybe I'll expand my pack after all, " is all he says.

What a surprise is he going to get when he finds he is not the only witcher who picked up strays and brought them to safety from the on-going war. Or that said person is so being so praised and spoilt by his brothers.

Summary
Jaskier travels alone until he bumps into a new witcher at a new inn. Eskel is nice, much nicer than Geralt and lets Jaskier unleash some emotional baggage as well as get a cuddle in. Jaskier is tired of traveling alone, so he invites himself into this new witchers life. It takes Eskel far, far to long to realize who Jaskier is.
TW: Eventual anxiety attacks & self harm in later chapters. I'll be sure to warn on those chapters as well.
Hope you all like the rewrite as much as you were enjoying the original.

In a desire for inspiration, and to prove to Geralt that he was finding the most boring records, he finds a book in the library by a poet, Dandelion. Imagine his surprise when he finds himself and Geralt as characters in the book.

Jaskier looks human and he feels like one too. When he feels sad, he cries until his voice is hoarse. When he doesn't eat for days, he feels hunger gnawing in his stomach. But steel can't kill him. Hell, even silver can't kill him. But perhaps, this witcher might.
