Lush and passionate, heartbreaking and hopeful — no one writes like Mussimm. Highly recommended!

    Summary

Alternate ending to The Sandford Flower Show, if Aziraphale had never plucked up his courage and fixed things. You need to read the first one to understand this one.

Mephistopheles was good at her job.

It was a strange thought to find comforting, but it was one Aziraphale clung to. Sometimes it was easier to think of his life in the broad strokes than to suffer through each moment of it. If in his mind he was the hero of a Shakespearean tragedy, his life crumbled to dust by such human foibles, then there was a certain dignity at that. He had lost, but at least he had been playing against a master.

I cried a lot while reading this, and cried again on re-reading — it is enormously satisfying in so many ways — I have no words to do it justice — read this!

This is a *heartbreaking* series with an ultimately happy ending, note-perfect in every way. It had me reading long after I should have gone to bed.

This is a *fantastic* post-apocalyptic cyberpunk AU, that I already know I will be re-reading many times :)

    Summary

Crowley had waited six thousand years, kept it all in check. But this was the slipperiest slope he’d ever set foot on and as soon as he’d indulged in a few discretionary acts of kindness he was falling face first into pining, tumbling into flirting, about to dislocate his knees on the sharp rocks of intimacy.

Was this really it? What he had waited six thousand years for? A stupid flower show? Aziraphale wasn’t pulling away from him. Maybe… maybe this time he wouldn’t? Maybe they’d hold hands again. Maybe tonight with a bottle of merlot in them he’d finally work up the courage and just kiss him and he wouldn’t pull away.

The very moment he’d thought it he spotted the problem at the flower show.

    Bookmarker's Notes

I’ve read this one twice, and am already feeling the need to read it a third time. The sex is super hot, but I am even more drawn to re-experience Aziraphale’s cleverness and bravery, in the face of terrible circumstance. Wonderful and awful in the best way.
