“There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle.”
- Albert Einstein
Alex read that quote on a poster once in middle school, and from there on, absolutely despised it. Every time he heard the word “miracle”, he was reminded of that loathsome quote and it’s stupid, lazy implications.
So called “miracles” we’re the result of hard work and maybe a roll of the lucky dice now and then, and Alex preferred to live life knowing that everything happened for a reason. Miracles we’re not plentiful nor random, and to think so is nothing but misplaced optimism.
Stuck in the daily routine of a high school junior, it’s not every day that Alex finds himself second-guessing a decision of his, but the events of these past few days had thrown him for the loop of all loops. He may just have to reconsider his position on that quote.
Integrating into a new environment and staying out of trouble when everyone's as fucked up as you are is a lot harder than John thought it would be.
But maybe being around his own kind is just what he needed.

Peter Parker is blind.
No, not in that way. He can see you, he can see around him, but when it comes to faces, he's lost. Of course, he knows who people are, he's got his memories but it's like his memory gets wiped each time you turn around. He can't recognize people. And after he ends up attacking a victim and earning himself a not so flattering twitter moment, he has to finally face the fact he can't see.

Spidey's gotten closer to the Avengers ever since they've returned, and everything seems to be going smooth- his identity is still safe, and he's friends with the Avengers- it couldn't get any better then that, right?
The Avengers on the other hand, have started to love having the Spider around- but their opinions on his identity are getting confusing, to say the least...
it's honestly just more of the Avengers and Spidey just chillin' with confusion, awkwardness, secret identities, and sometimes action
(this is the second part of the series btw, I'm pretty sure you can read it w/o the first part, but the first part has story building and stuff, so you might enjoy it more if you read that before)
(((Rated T for swearing only!!!)))
- Part 2 of The Unmentioned Awkwardness of being the youngest Avenger
- Part 4 of Tony & Peter centric fics
