Seeing a chance to escape the First Order, SK-7798 helps the Resistance prisoner, taken from Jakku, escape... things go down hill from here.
Rey, a Jakku scavenger, first meets a droid, BB-8 who is on a top-secret mission, then man who is more questions than answers.

Summary
The Rebellion hears some rumours from a nearby planet that there are some Mandalorians going about which, if the Rebel Alliance has heard it, it won't be long until the Empire does as well.
Kes and Cassian, admitting that they have worked with Mandalorians in the past (the fact that it was the same Mandalorian and Cassian's brother no less are not necessary details when getting off Hoth for a few days is an option), are tasked with seeking out these Mandalorians and either bringing them into the Rebellion or gaining their assurance that they won't work for the Empire.
It may be harder than first thought.
Best read after 'Five times the Kes learned something about Cassian Andor and doesn't make a big deal about it and the one time that Cassian shocks him.! Purely for context.

Summary
This is going to be written mostly out of order so please bear with me on that but I will make a point to order them chronologically.
Cassian. instead of staying on Fest after losing his parents and becoming a child soldier in the Festian rebel group, is picked up by a Mandalorian. This Mandalorian becomes his aliit - and this famiy came with a ready made older brother, Din Djarin.
Follow their (mis)adventures along time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

The detective decides early on that she doesn't want to know about his powers, the plausible deniability might keep her safe from the CIA one day. Why Finch would risk having a wanted and hunted inhuman in his secretive operation, Carter does not know. Turns out that Finch is just as gifted as his employee and Carter finally starts do understand how they run their two-man operation so well.--
