“You are a loveless thing Cheryl Marjorie Blossom, incapable of sincerely experiencing feelings of the heart. Yet you insist on defiling your body in such a manner. Feel free to draw your silly little pictures my dear but I truly have no idea why you bother. No one will ever see them or respond.” The woman paused to lean into the girl’s space and emphasized with a growl, “Just. Like. Always.”
or the Soulmate AU where Cheryl and Toni are Fated to meet and fall in love but life and circumstance try to keep them apart.
Soul Skin = Soulmate
The words you write on your dominant forearm will appear on the opposite forearm of your soulmate.
Beware this is a kissing book. Sans giants, ROUS' and six-fingered men.
Cheryl Blossom has had a pretty tough year. Losing her twin brother just before the start of their senior year in a terrible accident has caused her the loss of many things... her mental health, her friends, her girlfriend. She's begun to heal and Riverdale will soon be in her rear-view as she starts college in a few short months. She just has a couple of small hurdles to get over. The twins annual summertime tradition of counseling at Camp Sweetwater. Which all of her friends decided to attend one last time after graduation in honor of Jason. She is sure the experience will provoke too many heart wrenching memories. Then there's the loyal and loving girlfriend she abandoned nearly a year ago. Will Toni even want to look at her after torpedoing their relationship? Against her better judgement and to avoid more of Betty's incessant nagging she decides to navigate the turbulence of her past to make way for her brighter future.
or the Summer Camp AU everyone secretly wants
She’s breathtaking and Toni is absolutely enchanted and is just as absolutely sure she’s witnessing Cheryl in her natural habitat. The slight smile playing upon her sunlit lips undeniably transforms her into something lovely and ethereal. It’s the only word that comes close. Toni snaps a picture then zooms in and takes another. Doubting either picture will come anywhere close to capturing the beauty she is witnessing now. This vision under a willow tree. Silently she thanks all the gods who can hear her for her fortune to have her camera with her right now to encapsulate this moment.
Lena forgets all about the stars and how pretty they are at the sight of Kara laughing, because even in the bad torch lighting, Kara is prettier than all the stars combined. Something twists in Lena’s stomach. She wants to lean forward and press her lips against Kara’s, and she almost does, but then she realizes what she’s doing and she stops herself just in time before Kara notices anything.

Between balancing her studies, social life, and family, attending university was already hard enough for Korra. Adding a whirlwind and fiery romance with a rich omega was the last thing on her mind, but when she meets Asami Sato in the library one night, her whole life changes.
“Anyone whose goal is 'something higher' must expect someday to suffer vertigo. What is vertigo? Fear of falling? No, Vertigo is something other than fear of falling. It is the voice of the emptiness below us which tempts and lures us, it is the desire to fall, against which, terrified, we defend ourselves.”

“Help me understand,” Kara says. “Are you saying everyone falls in love with their best friend?”
“I’m saying that queer women have a special affinity for it,” Lena repeats, fishing the cherry out of the bottom of her drink. “The whole ‘falling for your straight best friend’ is basically a rite of passage.”
“Everyone.” She puts the cherry in her mouth, bites it off the stem. “The L Word was like, built on the premise that a friend group of queer woman in LA dated each other in some sort of terrible repeating circle for, god, however many seasons that went on. And it’s been my experience that when two people are attracted to each other, and they’re close, feelings are likely to develop.”
“That’s just, I mean, come on.” Kara’s cheeks are a little pink. “A trope and a tv show? That’s your evidence?”
“So you’ve never been in love with your best friend?” Lena looks down at her empty glass.
“No!” Kara sounds affronted. “No, I have never been in love with my best friend.”

“So?” Alex prompts.
Kara looks up from the styrofoam container, already having broken apart her chopsticks. “So what?”
“What do you mean so wha—Kara!” Kara freezes, chopsticks hanging in midair clutching a piece of kung pao chicken. There is real frustration and confusion in Alex’s voice. “Imagine my surprise when I sign in at the front desk and the nurse says that my sister-in-law is stable right now. Wanna tell me why you’re playing house to visit your best friend in the hospital?”
Kara sets the chicken down. “Alex…”
“Kara, you have ten seconds to explain why the entire staff thinks you and Lena are married and the answer had better not actually involve marriage or I swear to god I’ll…”
In which Kara is a whole entire idiot, Alex is a permanent mood, and Lena is just glad Kara is there for her, as her fake wife, while she recovers from another quarterly attempt on her life.
“Sorry. What’s your name?” Kara lowers the last bite of her hot dog. “You know mine, it’s only fair.”
The woman shifts her weight, pursing her lips and seeming to think about it. “I’m Lena,” she offers at last, watching Kara’s face.
“Well, it’s nice to meet you, Lena.” Kara gives her an enormous smile.
“Likewise.” Lena smiles back, then takes a breath. “I hope this isn’t the last time we talk.”
Kara watches Lena go, sees her pause at the street, then dart across awkwardly in her heels. “Lena,” she says to herself, trying it out. She goes to take another bite of her hot dog and feels the ketchup drip from her thumb, dropping into her lap.
Kara Danvers is in a slump: she’s just been fired from her job as a producer for a local news show, and she can’t get a single call back from prospective employers. But an offer from Luthor Broadcasting Corporation to help save their failing morning show might be just the thing she needs to turn it all around.
Based on the movie Morning Glory.
