Theodore Nott disappeared during the Battle of Hogwarts. And in the more than ten years that followed, despite relentless inquiries and searching by those who had been closest to him, no trace of him was discovered.
Eventually, Theo was no longer considered missing. He was considered dead.
Which was curious, because as Hermione peered into the eyes of the man playing the piano at a packed Muggle bar on the outskirts of Galway, Ireland, it was Theo Nott who was looking back at her.

Time-Turners are dangerous devices, and awful things happen to wizards and witches who meddle with time.
Or do they?
For Hermione Granger, an accident that leads her back in time changes the course of nearly a dozen lives, her own included: love where there was none before, hope where it was lost, trust where it had always been suspect.
A young Gryffindor girl that hadn’t existed before.
For Aurora Snape, starting school when the threat against Muggle-borns and the Chamber of Secrets makes it more difficult to be the Potions master’s daughter. Or making Draco see that his perception of Muggle-borns is wrong. And it certainly doesn’t help when one of the few Gryffindors who is nice to her is the one person who really shouldn’t know her too well: her mother.
The last thing Severus can remember is overhearing a prophecy in a dingy, goat-scented pub. Now there’s a James Potter clone with Lily’s eyes, a much aged Minerva McGonagall, and an infuriatingly familiar woman with wild hair all saying he is not a loyal Death Eater. Looking in a mirror proves that he is, indeed, suddenly pushing fifty. All in all, not his best day.
Upon finding herself thrown back in time to 1987, Hermione decides to befriend a young Potions Master. He has other ideas.

A response to #56 of the Anything Goes challenge: “She wants to have a baby. She's interviewing potential fathers. Who is she? Why is she resorting to this method? What questions is she asking in order to choose a father for her unborn child? Who shows up? Who does she choose? What happens next? She can be anybody.”
