Summary
A long crack clawed up the side of the concrete, and then it exploded. The pieces hung suspended in air around the boy, face still smooth as glass. Below Reigen’s fingers, the monitors beeped and charted in wild patterns, unlike anything he had ever seen before.
Suzuki removed his hand from the intercom and turned to Reigen. “Interesting enough for you?”
(In which Dr. Reigen gets involved in a less than ethical government program involving psychic experiments, and then tries to break one out.)

Summary
“Go, Mob, melt it!” screeches Reigen, and Mob extends his hand, already coated with the swirling blue discs of his aura. Only-
Only he can’t exorcise the spirit, because there isn’t one, and the boy is staring at him with wide blue eyes. His hand is glowing the same yellow as the basket.
(in which Teruki meets Mob much, much earlier.)

Summary
Sir Hanazawa Teruki is usually the confident type. He's strong and skilled and, of course, attractive. So what's the big deal he's having with King Shigeo? Well, it probably has to due with the fact that they're friends. It may also be because Shigeo doesn't understand that you don't stare into your friend's eyes for extended periods of time or call them into your rooms to chat at one in the morning.
The king was going to give Teruki a heart attack one of these days.

Summary
“Rumour has it that something impossible’s happened. Something that could never have happened. That shouldn’t have been able to happen.” In a single slick move Mezato produces a tiny voice recorder from an inside pocket, flips it open and active, and holds it up before Mob’s mouth to ask him, in a tone of devastating intensity: “Do you know anything about… a miracle, Mob-kun?”
Mob doesn’t hesitate. “We had maths homework to hand in,” he says. “But now we don’t have to. We don’t even have to go to the lesson.”
(The sun is shining, the birds are singing, Salt Middle School has been closed by an unexplained miracle, and the only thing wrong in Spice City is the fact that nothing is even slightly wrong at all.)
