    Summary

Superman Returns was an homage and spiritual continuation of the Reeveverse Superman films. Little Secrets and its sequels and prequels explore that world, delving into the Reeveverse films, adding characters and events from the comics as needed, and in the fic that gave this 'verse its name, rewriting Superman Returns with two major changes.

One, the characterizations of Lois and Kal-El are more in line with the original 1978 film Superman the Movie and its sequel, Superman II. Two, there's enough Last Son dynamics in Superfic. We decided that the next generation should be a departure from that, with Kryptonians who have never been alone, not even in the womb. So Lois Lane had twins, Jason and Kala, and Little Secrets is their story.

LS spawned multiple epic-length fics and shorter series and one-shots, which we're trying to collect here.

    Summary

Set post-Captain America: the Winter Soldier. Steve's been lost since they thawed him out. When he discovers Peggy Carter is still alive, he's even more lost. Sometimes reuniting with the love of your life isn't happily ever after. Sometimes, it's the very beginning of the hardest thing you've ever done.

((or, that one fic where Bucky's medical records are missing. Tony thinks Fury's growing super soldiers. Fury thinks Steve has an illegitimate daughter. Natasha knows a lot more than she's saying. And everyone's afraid of Peggy.))

Numerous flashbacks to the Captain America and Agent Carter timelines.

    Summary

In the time before the ocean's rise, before men left their hiding places and stretched out across the earth, taming rivers and forests and all in their path, there lived a half-orc boy named Steve. All his childhood, Steve was told by the people of his town that he was born of a forced union between his orc father and his human mother. But Steve knew the truth. He remembered late night visits and secret weekends away together, where his father would play pat-pat with him and dance with his mother in front of the fire. Steve knew the truth: he had been born of love.

Cast out of his human village, Steve will seek out his father only to find that love can be true but tainted as a mysterious warrior named Bucky exposes the terrible secret of the orcling army. This is the story of how Steve found his way in the world and discovered the cost of love and the loneliness of sacrifice.

In 1947, Master Sergeant James B. Barnes's surviving field journals were posthumously published as the classic war memoir The Night War. Now a high school history classroom mainstay and required reading at West Point, this highly anticipated 60th Anniversary Edition presents the original, unedited text alongside detailed historical notes that provide important context to the extraordinary wartime heroics of Captain America and the Howling Commandos.

    Bookmarker's Notes

I finished this after days of obsessive reading, and immediately burst into tears. Absolutely recommend, even if you aren’t a fan of war epics or memoirs.
