Summary
Tony watches as Chan glanced up at the stars thrown across the night sky, scattered as though some celestial being had carelessly dropped them and made an accidental masterpiece. Maybe he’s looking for Angela on the moon: a tiny speck among the patches of craters marring the Earth’s only natural satellite.
In the distance, a truck horn blares, disrupting the monotonous chirping of the crickets. Ever since Tony moved to Colorado for Space Force, he has hated the quiet isolation, but as he eats frozen yogurt with Chan by his side in this town that nobody outside a forty-mile radius has ever heard of, he doesn’t mind being stuck in the middle of nowhere all that much.
