Izuku was born with a quirk, surprisingly. Yet his quirk is... something far beyond his control. So he grows up quirkless, with a quirk shackle always on his left ankle, even when he's in the shower. It's that bad. And that medical anklet as well...
Izuku was sickly from the moment he was born. So sickly, in fact, that sometimes, he bleeds from his eyes, or his legs stop working and he has to use that wheelchair he keeps tucked in his closet.
And when his mom disappears...
Well, he ends up taking in a stray Shinsou to keep him company. And the two of them... they're going to be the greatest heroes, together. After all, without the other, they're both useless.
But together, their power is equal to that of a god. Maybe.

Izuku got his quirk at the age of five.
He thought it was a good quirk. And so did his mother.
The doctor called it weak and not useful for Hero Work. Everyone else agreed.
Kacchan picked on him, but he didn’t mind. He told his mom, who wasn’t worried either.
It’s hard to think about injuries when they heal themselves. And Izuku’s quirk does more than just heal.
He can become a Hero; maybe even better than All Might. All he has to do is keep getting hurt.
After all: What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger.

Kirishima is given a rather spectacular gift.
