he blinks up at the building.
it is sturdy and huge and slightly intimidating, the kind of place he would definitely get lost in.
he breathes in deep and tries not to think of the one million hallways and five million classrooms waiting for him, tries not to think of all the ways in which this could possibly go wrong.
okay, so, the building is big, he thinks, but the world is bigger, and he will have to face that someday, too.
he is ready for this.
lai guanlin leaves taiwan to study in seoul. he has to put in all his effort into this, strive to do his very best no matter what, and-
-and he meets some people along the way who make his life a little more interesting.
nolyeog: strive ; endeavour
"your stack-destroyer is back." hoseok says, nodding towards the customer.
"he's not mine." jungkook mutters, "and what are you even doing here?"
"it's my break." hoseok shrugs, "anyway- the other day, you did say, i quote, 'i hate it when hot people are assholes'."
jungkook works at h&m and is obsessed with colour-coordinated displays and neat stacks of clothes, while yoongi- a.k.a. 'the stack-destroyer'- is that one customer who always manages to mess up nearly every display, every single time he comes.
"Daegu is so nice, hyungnim." Jungkook says happily, "Will you take me to the summer festival tomorrow?"
Yoongi doesn't even hesitate, "We'll go wherever you want, baby."
Yoongi does not usually attend the summer festivals. It's too hot, the sun shines too brightly, there are too many people-
-but Jungkook is smiling hopefully, and Yoongi is a weak, weak man.
Besides, he's sure he'll enjoy himself if he's got Jungkook with him.
Yoongi and Jungkook spend summer together in Daegu.

- Part 2 of lac d'amour
Yoongi has not gone to the studio in months. It has been so long since he's sat down and written music, so long since he spoke of it with passion.
They are all worried about him, but he shuts himself away. He is so tired- tired of lacking inspiration, tired of being forced, tired of being tired.
And then there is a boy at the lake, and the boy is beautiful. The boy is everything.
And suddenly, Yoongi wants to write again.

Max is a little tired of being the youngest of the group- especially since the rest of them are teenagers. Being the youngest did have some plus points, and he certainely had fun and learnt a lot from them.
But he was absolutely done with being treated like a child. He could be just as grown-up as they were.
Cue Max Maple's own personal operation, a plan that would surely get the seven of his friends to look at him as though he was their age, too- Operation Teenage Talk.
And then, on the other hand:
The rest of the group gathered in Ash's room one evening for 'an extremely serious meeting.'
"My brother is acting strange." May said flatly, "It's freaking me out."
"He's acting like..." Brock's brow furrowed, "Well, like a hormonal, slightly angsty teenager."
"Um." Ash gave Brock and odd look, "Max is ten."
"Yeah, well, that would be the problem."
Cue the counter-operation: Operation Teenage Trouble
- Part 5 of Operations 101
13 Sep 2017
Ash and his friends did get into a lot of trouble, that was for sure.
But they had a totally fool-proof way of getting out of trouble, too:
When in doubt, create an Operation.
The only problem was that their plans never went quite as smoothly as they were supposed to.
