    WARNING: This fic holds an INCREDIBLY LARGE age gap between the reader and Joel. Reader is 20-23 during the events of the story and Joel is mid 50s, as he is in The Last of Us Part II. If this makes you uncomfortable, please do not read.*

    All in all, this is a fix-it fic of sorts. Ellie isn't mad at Joel, Abby doesn't come to avenge her dad, no one is dead or will die.

    *The age gap isn't ignored, it's one of the largest plot points in this story.
