In which Sakura is not initially a part of Team 7. In which she wears her failures like armor and brandishes her fears like her most trusted weapons. In which I do what hundreds of other authors have done before me, and rewrite Sakura's story.

Miya raises an eyebrow, but he isn't stupid enough to mention it. "I don't need my classmates seeing me with a bunch of slimes like you!"
"Isn't everyone a slime to you?" Langa asks, infuriatingly earnest.
"Yeah!" Reki agrees. "Anyways, I thought I was a golem now!" Miya kicks him in the shin. It isn't even that hard- not hard enough to bruise, at least, but Reki clutches his leg and hops on one foot all the same.

The door to his room slammed open, startling him. Hilda stood in the doorway, staring intently at Claude. He noticed that instead of the twintails that she bore during their academy days, she had pinned her hair up into a high ponytail, reminiscent of the style she wore during the war. The only things that made it clear that this Hilda was younger was a lack of her signature earrings, her rounder face, and the pajamas on her body that her older self sighed about not being able to fit into anymore.
"Claude," She said, hands gripping the doorframe, "What the fuck just happened? Did we just travel back in time?"
the crew gets teleported back in time. the crew decides a good thing to do is to fix all the mistakes that happened.
Byleth, who accidentally caused this to happen in the first place, does not want that to happen.
