“Don’t cry,” the figure’s voice stated in what was meant to be a gentle tone as he calmly wiped Stiles’ tears away. “We’ll be together again soon, Marcello.”
After returning home to Beacon Hills, Stiles finds himself being stalked by a vampire who has mistaken him for its dearly departed lover of yore. Terrified out of his mind, Stiles turns to the pack for help—even if it does feel awkward asking for help from his Alpha slash ex.
Derek lifted the gun, putting Stiles in the crosshairs as he waited for his aim to steady. His arm was heavy, his aim wavering a little. He knew he wasn’t the same ever since the fall. He wondered how this was going to end if he did pull the trigger.
Was he going to hit the glass, or was he about to put a hole in Stiles’ face?
“Did you think he loved you?” Jennifer fiercely uttered, narrowing her gaze. “Or maybe you thought you loved him. That you were finally capable of loving someone that would actually care—”
The shot rang out.
(Or, the James Bond AU no one asked me for...)
“Do you love him?” Paige simply asked.
Derek turned to look at her. "That's a silly question," he simply replied, knowing that Paige was referring to Stiles.
“And yet it’s a question you won’t answer,” Paige replied.
Derek carefully observed Paige. “Why ask it?”
“Because he loves you.”
Or, the one where Stiles is the High Enchanter of King Hale's court, but at night is the lover that lines the sheets of Derek's bed. When Derek is forced to marry in pursuit of an heir, things begin to crumble.
“Do you want me to save your niece or not?” Chris asked.
“I’m too used to empty promises by Argents,” Peter answered, though he took a step back into the hospital room. “This doesn’t change anything, Christopher.”
Chris faintly nodded, believing that he knew Peter well enough to catch when he was bluffing. But that was a lifetime ago—that was before Peter retreated behind a wall of sarcasm and disdain to lick his wounds. He caught the faint red glow behind Peter’s irises, recognizing it for the threat it was.
Peter sneered, “Let him get the better of you. It’s foolish of me to think you could rule as a King.”
Derek turned a glare on his uncle.
“Tell me, will the Dread Wolf of Triskelia bow down to a boy?”
