“What? Is it a ghost?” Mingjue asks very seriously. Spirits are no laughing matter, he would know.
“No. It’s a..” Jiang Cheng hesitates. “It’s a baby,” he says, looking up at Mingjue like it’s his fault there’s an abandoned human life in the forests of Qinghe.

Just two sect leaders in love!
02 Jul 2020
The day the Twin Prides of Yunmeng became the Twin Patriarchs of Yilling, it left the cultivation world in chaos. Jiang Yanli is left to deal with a newly rebuilt sect as the Sect Leader of Yunmeng Jiang. The Twin Jades are left with broken hearts, and much worse, broken spirits.
No one in their right mind would ever seriously try to woo Lin Ronghu, the Emperor's infamously ruthless (if unofficial) spymaster.
Not that that's stopped the local legend, a (self-described) beautiful detective with peerless martial arts. His crush is a major inconvenience - at least until there's a murder that puts Lin Ronghu's most hated political nemesis straight in the frame. Since Lin Ronghu can't believe that anyone would be that stupid, he decides that maybe having a private detective around might be good for something after all...

Wei Changze is reborn as Wen Yuan. Cangse Sanren is reborn as Lan Jingyi. Understandably, this changes a lot of things.
(Or, Wei Changze tries to get used to a life where he is both the father and son of the exact same person, and Cangse Sanren is just loving being the most un-Lan Lan to ever live).

“Are you going to jump?” Jin Ling asked, sounding genuinely excited.
“What?!” Lan Jingyi shrieked, clinging onto the tree branch even tighter.
“If you’re going to jump, then do a flip!”
“A-Ling!” Lan Sizhui hissed, hitting Jin Ling in the shoulder because he was a good cousin, unlike some other people, and he didn’t want Lan Jingyi to literally plummet to his death.
“Jin Ling don’t be stupid.” Jiang Cheng huffed, crossing his arms over his chest. Lan Jingyi sighed in relief. Then his father turned to him and cupped his hands over his mouth to project his voice. “A-Yi! If you’re going to jump, do two flips, not just one- Ow!”
Lan Wangji had elbowed him in the ribs.
(Or, Lan Jingyi gets stuck up in a tree, Lan Sizhui is an angel, Jin Ling is a devil, Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji can't not be chaotic for five seconds, and they all make a fairly stable human ladder)

“You mean, you’ve never had a sleepover before?” Lan Jingyi gasped, holding onto Lan Sizhui’s shoulders for support.
Nie Mingjue scratched his forehead. “A what?”
“A sleepover!” Jin Ling cried. “You’ve seriously never had one?”
Nie Mingjue squinted at him. “Are you calling me a liar?”
Jin Ling’s eyes widened and he quickly shook his head. “No! But I just can’t believe it!”
“It's a tragedy!” Lan Jingyi wiped his eyes, and Nie Mingjue wasn’t sure the tears were real, for dramatics, or both.
“We have to fix this.” Ouyang Zizhen stated with a look of determination in his eyes.
“Chifeng-zun,” Lan Sizhui gave him a smile that was almost a carbon copy of Lan Xichen’s. “Would you like to join our sleepover?”
(Or the junior quartet ropes NMJ into joining their sleepover. Nail painting, gossiping, scheming and other sleepover shenanigans ensue!)

“Nie Mingjue?!” Jiang Cheng shrieked, decorum flying out the window as he watched one of the most powerful cultivators to have ever lived stuff two sweet buns into his mouth at once. “Chifeng-zun! I thought you were dead?”
Lan Wangji took another sip of tea, wholly unbothered.
Nie Mingjue inclined his head towards Jiang Cheng, briefly acknowledging his presence before going back to his desserts. “Not anymore.” He replied gruffly.
Jiang Cheng felt floored.
Or, Nie Mingjue is alive, nobody told Jiang Cheng, and the two of them, along with Lan Wangji make a pretty chaotic trio (who, despite the constant bickering, are surprisingly supportive of each other)
