Once, he’d told Hoon: I like him, and it had been the first time he’d spoken those words out loud. To himself he was willing to admit: obsessed, obsessed with him. To Oh-aew he’d said, today, I’ve missed you, like that had been that, like that had been all. But this version of the truth—hot and swooping in his belly—he hadn’t spoken, yet, not even within himself: thinking about Oh-aew’s body, his body close to Teh’s. Into the receiver he said, now, “You’re so hot. You turn me on, I’m sorry, God, is that okay? Can I, is it okay for me to say—”
“Yes,” came Oh-aew’s voice, quiet, then a breathy: “It’s okay.”
(Or: the month they spend losing their virginity by degrees. Teh has a dirty mouth and Oh-aew is into it. Picks up directly after ep5.)
