Belathen Lavellan, primary Hunter of her clan, finds herself unexpectedly in charge of the infant Inquisition and simultaneously falling for two people who couldn't be any more different... or unattainable. But fate is a strange thing, and love laughs at what we think we know- even about ourselves.
(This is what happens when you try a short challenge request and it spurs a what-if. No longer going. Very much done. Spoilers from Inquisition.)

Warnings: This is heavily AU (not really an alternate universe, but more alternate timeline). Also will contain many, many, many spoilers. Solas/Lavellan, but not quite your average love tale. [Now with fan art!]
Summary: Time is a funny thing. It twists and weaves its way into our lives without us even noticing, changing us in a million different ways every second of every day. Sometimes it reveals things to us. Sometimes, when time does not flow as we expect it to, it gives us a second chance.
This is the story of Fen'da'len Lavellan, a woman who has lived it all before, only to be tossed back to live through it again. Will she be able to change things for the better, or will her actions ripple out into time and disrupt the future in cataclysmic ways? Only time will tell. Either way, she refuses to live in the dark, this time.
Edit 1: This fic does not contain Trespasser spoilers; however, there are vaguely similar events set to occur.
Edit 2: This fic now features hover-text translations!

At Redcliffe instead of Dorian and the Inquisitor being thrown forward in time, it's just the Inquisitor... And instead of going forward in time, she goes back. A LONG way back.
Back to the time of the ancient elves, before Arlathan fell and the gods were locked away. Possibly before the elves even really knew of humans as anything more than primitive creatures on far-off shores. But in this strange, beautiful and cruel world of her ancestors she sees one familiar face, except his name is Fen'Harel.
A very long story, surrounding a time travelling Lavellan who falls in love with Fen'harel, how this impacts future thedas, only time will tell.
After Wisdom had gone, I hadn’t been sure that Solas would ever return. In time, he did, offering no more explanation than to say, I could hardly abandon you now. Even then the word seemed to catch in my ear. Now. Maybe once before and perhaps one day soon, but not just yet. On that point I had no illusions. Solas was not a man to promise forever, though he was afraid of dying alone.
Chapters 68 through 82 cover the Protect Clan Lavellan war table mission, the canon story resumes with chapter 83.

The Inquisitor has been poisoned by a substance which makes any men in her vicinity go crazy with lust. Skyhold goes into a state of meltdown as she tries to escape untouched. Unfortunately, the side effects may be even more fatal than first realised and the Inquisitor may have to make bigger sacrifices to protect those she cares for.
