Summary
A story in response to the Thursday Trivia prompt on FB to put an innocent line of dialogue into a slashy context. The quote this week was “Your timing leaves a lot to be desired.”
This is the sequel to my story “Hutch’s Birthday” but will stand alone, so long as you know that Hutch is doing up their new house while recovering from a nervous breakdown. The puppy was his birthday present from Starsky.

Summary
Hutch tries for romance, but his date has other ideas.
A double Drabble in response to the Thursday Trivia challenge on FB to put an innocent line of dialogue in a slashy context. The prompt this week was “Watch out for that tree!” “What tree....?”
For MatSir because it is her word.
(Just in case it’s not clear, the word in question in wowzatrouser. Not tree. Or, indeed, boutonnière)

Summary
A missing scene that took place just after the shooting. Hutch gets help from an unexpected source. For Kira_Berlin, who started me thinking along these lines.
Hutch was playing Chopin’s Nocturne in C Minor. I’d link to it if I knew how!

Summary
Starsky and Hutch watch the Inaguration. Starsky is recovering from Covid.
Edit: this is a drabble-tag to DPPatrick’s story A Better Outlook, which you can find a couple of pages back-she posted it on December 29th. I tried to link to it but failed miserably.

Summary
The title (and concept of the story) comes from a line from a collection of poems by Haklil Gibran called “The Prophet.” The line is as follows: “And ever has it been that loves knows not its own depth until the hour of separation.” From there follows many, many pages of angst, grumpiness, insomnia all set against the stage of a lovely, hot L.A. summer.

Summary
Hutch put his arm down with a sigh, thrust his hands into pockets, and looked out the window, shoulders hunched. "Dobey doesn't care for it. Going to take a long time. No telling how long. No back-up to speak of. No break. We're going to go under and stay under."
"I want the case and you damned well know it," Starsky said.
Hutch looked back at him. Starsky expected more arguments or a small sampling of the Hutchinson temper, but the blond only smiled softly. "I know."

Summary
It had been a perfect performance, that impromptu act for Kira's benefit.... It had looked so smoothly orchestrated that it had fooled Kira, maybe even Huggy.
One last time: me and thee against the world....
"Now you can go to hell," Starsky said levelly and started for his car. He slammed the door and the car roared away.
So much for me and thee, Hutch concluded.
